Sparks Create Early Morning Fire at Sanderson Farms Plant

FLOWOOD, Miss.–A little over a dozen workers had to be evacuated early Friday morning after a fire broke out at the Sanderson Farms plant.

According to WLBT, the fire started in the boiler room where cooking oil is heated to cook the food.

Around 3:00 a.m. when the blaze began most of the people present were cleaning crews and they were able to get out safely.

It’s not clear what started the fire yet and investigators are still looking into it.
