Special Election for New Mayor of Biloxi Today

BILOXI, Miss.–Replacing long-time mayor A.J. Holloway may be tough for people who live in Biloxi, but it’s a task voters will take on today with a special election. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and ten candidates are on the list.

If no candidate gets more than 50 percent of the vote, then a runoff will be held May 12.

The city website lists these candidates:

Victor Ainsworth
David Bull
Cono Caranna
“FoFo” Gilich
Felix O. Gines
Kenny Glavan
Pat Morris
Dixie Newman
W.S. “Windy” Swetman, III
Paul Tisdale

You must bring your valid photo ID to vote, but you won’t be turned away if you don’t. You will be required to bring it later for your vote to be counted.
