Stabbing at Callaway prom night in Jackson

JACKSON, Miss.- As Callaway High School students enjoyed a night at the prom, it turned into a disaster when a classmate was stabbed during the event.

Notice first by the D.J., a student was stabbed right in the middle of the dance floor Friday night. The prom even was being held at the Old Captiol Inn downtown when a male student stabbed another male all of a sudden.

Police arrested 18-year-old Bernard Jonathan Harper, who is a Callaway graduate, was cuffed in his tux at the event.

Students were reluctant to speak about what happened because senior class sponsors told them not to take picture or say anything about what happened at the crime scene.

Parents and students feel that the school district failed them by letting this happen and plan to meet with school officials Monday night to find out more information on what mistakes were made.
