State Auditor Recovers $70,000 for City of Greenville

GREENVILLE, Miss– State Auditor Stacey Pickering cut a check to  Greenville Mayor John Cox and other city leaders for $70,000.

The money comes from an investigating former Greenville Parks and Recreation Director Yvette Yeager.

A statement released from the State Auditor’s office says that from October 2007 through September 2012, Yeager wrote fake receipts totaling $85,155.65 during her job as the Parks Commission Director. Yeager was responsible for receiving and depositing money made by Parks and Recreation, which included the golf course where Yeager forged the phony receipts.
