WASHINGTON County, Miss– The flag representing the state of Mississippi will no longer fly on county owned properties in Washington County.
The Board of Supervisors voted 3-2 Monday to remove the flag, reports the Delta Democrat Times. The Concerned Ministers and Citizens of Washington County have been working towards the flags removal for about a year.
The state flag is expected to come up during the Legislative Session.
