Still Missing After Almost a Year: Donovan Cowart’s Family Offering Reward

GEORGE COUNTY, Miss.–It’s been since at least March since anyone has seen Donovan Cowart, 26, in George County and now his family is asking for your help to find him. The lead investigator in the case held a news conference Tuesday.

“Donovan Cowart’s family is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to finding him or his remains,” said Sgt. Jason Pharez, with the George County Sheriff’s Dept.

Since he was reported missing, Pharez said tips have come in from different counties and they’ve searched, but there has been little solid information.

“He was reported missing March 18 by his sister and she stated it was not unusual for him to stay out of contact for up to a month.”

But, he’s been gone a lot longer than that now.

Pharez said he had plenty of friends and contacts in the Mobile area. In fact, there had been a tip that he was dead and was buried near there, but Pharez said there was nothing solid on that, either.

If you have info, call the George County Sheriff’s Dept. at 601-947-9156 or Mississippi Coast Crimestoppers at 1-877-787-5898.

Crimestoppers may have an additional $1,000 if you have the right information.
