Storm Erin Weakens to Tropical Depression

JACKSON, Miss. — What was thought be a threat, not so much anymore. Tropical Storm Erin in the Atlantic has now weakened to a tropical depression.

Right now the storm is about 625 miles northwest of the Cape Verde Islands.

According to the US National Hurricane Center the storm is expected to change slightly in strength over the next couple days.
