The Oregon Shooting: Mississippi Flags at Half Staff Until Monday

JACKSON, Miss.–If you’re seeing state flags lowered to half mast, it’s in honor of the people killed during Thursday’s shooting at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon. Gov. Bryant ordered the flags lowered Friday in an executive order.

The executive order said that the “prayers of the people of this state are with the victims and their families”.

The order includes both state and U.S. flags on public grounds.
