Thousands of Students to Play in State Archery Tournament

JACKSON, Miss.- Nearly 5,000 students representing schools across the state are getting ready to compete in the 2015 Archery in Mississippi Schools (AIMS) State Tournament.

The tournament will take place April 14-16 at the Kirk Fordice Equine Center in Jackson.

AIMS is an MDWFP program designed to introduce 4th-12th graders to the sport of archery during their Physical Education class or as a school team sport. The program promotes international-style target archery as part of the in-school curriculum to improve educational performance and participation in shooting sports.

AIMS is also supported by the Foundation for Mississippi Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks. Learn more about AIMS atwww.mdwfp.com/AIMS.
