County Emergency Management officials confirm a tornado did touch down in Petal on Wednesday just before noon.
EMA Director for Forrest County, Glen Moore told News Mississippi that so far the knew that two businesses received roof damage, as well as another home that had roof damage.
There were several trees and power lines down as well.
Moore said EMA crews were being set to the scene to assess the situation but at this time there have been no reports of injury or death.
