Tragedy Struck Louisville Monday Leaving Nine Dead and One Missing

LOUISVILLE, Miss.- Tragedy struck many places across Mississippi Monday, but it hit Louisville extremely hard and left the town in devastation.

Winston County’s tornado killed nine people and has left one missing child. Four men and five women were killed in the county. Names were released by the County Coroner Scott Gregory Wednesday.

Two of the people killed, Terri Tucker and Sean Fowler are the parents of the currently missing 8-year-old boy. They were found more than half a mile from their home in an area of complete debris.

Three other people were killed in three other counties across the state.

One victim was killed from Monday’s tornado in Lee County and was identified as Cassandra Blansett, 39 years old. From Rankin County was Sharon Pell, 49 years old. From Issaqueana County Nicky Lee Painter, 56 years old and from Winston County Ruth Bennet, 53; Dora Triplett, 64; Catherine Ferguson, 55; Gregory Jernigan, 60; Sarah Massey, 85; Jerry Carter, 61; Leonard Carter, 38; Terri Tucker, 31; and Sean Fowler, 44.
