Transgender man admits to sex crimes

LUCEDALE, Miss.- A transgender man has admitted to sex crimes against a transgender minor by pleading guilty in court. 

Krishna “Kris” Maroney, 24, plead guilty to six counts of sexual battery and one count of touching a child for lustful purposes, according to The Sun Herald.

The crimes were committed against the same victim but in different locations. Four of the sexual battery charges, and one touching charge occurred in George County, and the remaining two sexual battery charges happened in Jackson County.

Maroney could face up to 20 years in prison for the sexual battery charges and 15 years for the touching of a child.

He remains out on bond until his sentencing on September 2.
