Trooper Loses Discrimination Suit

JACKSON, Miss. — The race discrimination lawsuit filed by a former Mississippi Highway Patrol trooper has been thrown out.

Michael McField of Horn Lake had claimed he was fired from the agency in 2009 because of his race.  But after his trial last week, a federal judge ruled McField didn’t prove his claims.  The Highway Patrol has maintained McField was let go for insubordination and unprofessional conduct.
