North Mississippi staying relatively cool today: highs only barely breaking into the mid 80s as a cold front continues to stall over much of the state. Partly cloudy skies marking your Tuesday, with some moderate humidity creeping in as the day wears on. Tomorrow looking even cooler: highs in the upper 70s as thunderstorms scatter across the region.

Central Mississippi looking at lots of rain today: 90% coverage as remnants of Hurricane Harvey begin to stretch eastward. Highs in the upper 70s/lower 80s. Tomorrow look for thunderstorm activity to begin, growing more potent toward the weekend.

Along the Gulf Coast, thunderstorms will roll through. Some may be severe. Your main worry will be localized flooding and strong winds. Expect plenty more rain to fall this week as Harvey stretches into the Gulf area.
