Two Bus Crashes Leave One Dead, One Critical

JACKSON, Miss.–Two bus crashes in a matter of 24 hours in the state have left one person dead and another critically injured.

The fatal bus crash happened just north of Brandon on Highway 471 Tuesday afternoon and no kids were on board the Rankin County bus according to WJTV.

The driver of the smaller vehicle died during that head-on collision according to reports and it’s not known how it happened.

One other person who was in the car at the time was sent to University of Mississippi Medical Center in critical condition.

Another accident happened Wednesday morning while a Clinton bus was taking kids to school and was involved with two other vehicles.

No one was seriously injured but some kids were taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons.

The rest of the children were taken to school and their parents were called after the accident.
