Two reported dead in Terry deer camp fire

TERRY, Miss.- A man and child have been reported dead on Newell-Waltman Drive near Old Jackson Road in Terry after a fire.

Officials confirmed that, around 2:30 a.m. on Monday, two men, believed to be a father and son, were killed in a pull-behind camper that was turned into a deer camp.

Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart told local media that they likely have the identities of the two individuals but they would not be able to confirm them visually due to the severity of the burns. No names are being released at this time.

Family members were called to the scene early Monday morning.

Stewart could not be reached for comment at this time.
