Unclaimed property up for grabs in Winona and Pearl

Treasurer Lynn Fitch has announced that events are being set up in Winona and Pearl so that the Treasurer’s staff can help people find their unclaimed property.

Since 2012 over $76 million has been distributed in unclaimed property to citizens. That’s over 42% of all the unclaimed property distributed since the program started in 1982.

“We take our duty to reunite you with your money very seriously,
and we are always looking for opportunities to help people find their unclaimed property,” said Treasurer Lynn Fitch.

Earlier this year, Fitch wrote to all of Mississippi’s mayors and invited them to help locate people with unclaimed property in their towns and
cities.

Upcoming events include:

Winona: Wednesday, November 1, 2017
3 pm to 7 pm
Winona City Hall
409 Summit Street, Winona

Pearl: Thursday, November 9, 2017
5 pm to 7 pm
Pearl Community Center
2420 Old Brandon Road, Pearl
