Using A Vulnerable Person’s Credit Cards, Philadelphia Woman Charged With Exploitation

CARTHAGE, Miss.–Watch out who you get to care for your loved ones who can’t care for themselves. News Mississippi has reported on several incidents involving exploitation of a vulnerable adult lately and now a Philadelphia woman could get 20 years in prison on that charge.

Tabitha Lynn Warren, 32, of Philadelphia, was arrested Tuesday on charges that she used credit cards of the person she was supposed to be caring for for unauthorized transactions, said Atty. Gen. Jim Hood.

Warren was indicted by a Leake County grand jury and arrested afterward.

Hood said the penalty, if she’s convicted, could be 10 years on each of two counts. The attorney general’s Medicaid Fraud division is prosecuting Warren.
