Veteran Law Officer Admits to Child Sex Crimes

PASCAGOULA, Miss. – A veteran law enforcement officer could spend some of his time on the other side of prison bars for child sex crimes.

Robert Hill pleaded guilty Friday to three counts of sexual battery and one count of touching a child for lustful purposes.  In exchange for his admission of guilt, 11 charges of touching a child for lustful purposes by a person in a position of trust or authority over a child were dropped.

Hill was working as a Narcotics Task Force agent in Jackson County when he was arrested in 2011.  Prior to that, he worked as a patrol officer in Gautier and Philadelphia.

He will be sentenced March 27.
