Voter Registration Deadline Approaching

JACKSON, Miss.- Deadline for November Election is Saturday, October 3rd.

If you want to make sure your vote is cast for this year’s general election you must be registered to vote by this Saturday. Circuit clerk offices are open Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to noon. Registration is for Mississippi residents and others registering at a current Mississippi address.

You may register if you fit the qualifications:

-A resident of Mississippi for at least 30 days prior to the election.

-18 years old at the date of election

-Not declared mentally incompetent by a court

-Not convicted of a disengranchising crime
