Wednesday weather rundown 7-5-17: northern storms, central & southern heat

North Mississippi riding out a few scattered showers overnight, you may want to keep your umbrella handy today: you’re looking at a 50/50 chance for more scattered storms throughout the area today, mainly after lunchtime. Today’s high reaching the upper 80s, lower 90s. Your chances for rain continue into this evening and even into tomorrow. Expect a 90% coverage Thursday.

Central Mississippi feeling the heat today: your high pushing into the lower to mid 90s for your midweek. Afternoon thunderstorms on your menu, per usual for this time of year, though they’ll be scattered across the area and won’t be very long-lived. Tomorrow looking at a high returning to the lower 90s with chances for rain after noon.

South Mississippi staying mostly dry today as well. Your high topping out in the lower 90s across the area. Little in the way of rain chances this afternoon, as well as overnight. Tomorrow’s high bouncing back into the upper 80s, lower 90s.
