Weekday weather rundown: 1-19-18

Here’s a quick look at the weather across the state today.

In north Mississippi, sunny today with highs in the mid-40s. The lowest wind chill readings will range from 10 to 15 in the morning. Friday night will not be as cold as it has been lately. Partly cloudy skies with lows in the lower to mid-3os.

In central Mississippi, expect sunny skies today with highs in the lower 50s. Tonight, not as cold with partly cloudy skies in the evening, then becoming mostly cloudy. Lows will be in the lower to mid-30s.

In south Mississippi, a hard freeze warning is in effect until 9 a.m. this morning. During the day temperatures will not be as cool as they have been. Mostly sunny skies with widespread frost in the morning. Highs will be in the lower to mid-50s. At night, temperatures dipping down, but not too low tonight with mostly cloudy skies in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. There will be areas of frost after midnight. Lows will be in the mid to upper 30s.
