Weekday weather rundown: 12-20-17

Here’s a quick look at what you can expect from the weather across the Magnolia state today.

In North Mississippi, early in the morning, there will be some patchy fog. Showers and a chance of thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall. This afternoon, mostly cloudy with a chance of showers during the day. Highs will be in the lower to mid-60s. At night, cooler and mostly cloudy with lows in the mid to upper 40s.

In Central Mississippi, some patchy fog in the early morning to mid-morning hours with showers and a chance of thunderstorms. Today, mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning, as well as, a slight chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs will be in the lower 70s. Tonight, mostly cloudy skies will bring the temps down to the upper 40s. There will also be some patchy fog.

In South Mississippi, there is a dense fog advisory in effect until 9 a.m. this morning. Like North and Central Mississippi, cloudy skies today with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Clouds in the morning, then becoming partly sunny. Some patchy fog in the morning. Showers and thunderstorms are likely in the morning and continuing into the afternoon. Highs are set to be in the mid to upper 70s during the heat of the day and tonight, cooler with partly cloudy skies and some patchy fog after midnight. Lows will be in the lower 50s.
