Weekday weather rundown: 4-3-18

Here’s a quick rundown of the weather today across the Magnolia state.

In north Mississippi, there is a wind advisory in effect from 10 a.m. this morning to 10 p.m. this evening. Today, expect mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance of showers during the day. There will also be a slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon and highs will near 80. Tonight, much colder with showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Locally, heavy rainfall is possible in the evening. Lows will be in the lower 40s.

In central Mississippi, there is a wind advisory in effect from 10 a.m. this morning to 10 pm. this evening. This morning will have mostly cloudy skies and some patchy fog, then becoming mostly sunny. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and highs will be in the lower 80s. Tonight, cooler temperatures with showers and thunderstorms during the night with some thunderstorms having the potential to be severe in the evening. Lows will be in the mid to upper 40s.

In south Mississippi, partly sunny today with areas of fog in the morning, as well as, a slight chance of thunderstorms in the morning. Showers are expected during the day. Highs will be in the lower 80s, and tonight cooler temperatures with a chance of thunderstorms in the evening and some showers during the night. Thunderstorms are expected after midnight and lows will be in the mid-50s.
