Weekend weather rundown: 2-11-18

Here’s a quick rundown of the weather today across Mississippi.

In north Mississippi, cooler today with cloudy skies and a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning, then a slight chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs will be in the lower 50s. Tonight, colder temperatures with mostly cloudy skies and some light rain during the night. There is also a chance for some light freezing rain or drizzle after midnight. Lows will dip down into the mid-30s.

In central Mississippi, showers are likely in the morning along with some isolated thunderstorms during the day. There is a chance of showers in the afternoon and highs are set to be in the lower 60s. At night, colder temperatures moving in and cloudy skies with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening and continuing after midnight. Lows will be in the lower 40s.

In south Mississippi, expect thunderstorms in the morning and rain showers during the day. There is a chance for some thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs will be in the lower 70s, In the evening cloudy skies with colder temperatures and some patchy fog in the evening. More showers are likely in the evening and there is also a slight chance of thunderstorms during the night, as well as, a chance of showers after midnight. Lows are expected to be in the lower to mid-50s.
