In Webster County, 75-year-old Elizabeth Perry of Ackerman was killed Saturday morning when her car was rear-ended just east of Mathiston. The truck that hit her was driven by 58-year-old James Cork of Webster County. He was taken to the hospital with his injuries.

It was a wreck Thursday near Tupelo where 27-year-old Latonya Clifton of Verona hit a light pole. She died Saturday at North Miss. Medical Center. She lost control and was partially ejected. Law enforcement was looking into the possibility she was not wearing her seat belt.
