JACKSON, Miss. — The West Nile Virus has killed a Mississippian in Yazoo County. This is the first time someone has died from the mosquito spread disease this year. Last year 5 people died from it.
Remember, wearing mosquito repellent or long sleeves when you are outside can help you cut down the risk of getting bit by the bloodsuckers, and it’s a good idea to get rid of standing water around your house, because that is where mosquitoes like to breed.
