Wide Load Moving Through Mississippi, NASA Rocket on Highways

JACKSON, Miss.–A large rocket is traveling Monday down the state highways.

“Rowe Equipment is moving their Atlas rocket from Iuka all the way to the Louisiana state line,” said Mississippi Department of Transportation spokesman Kenny Foote’.

That empty rocket is 20-feet wide and over 13-feet tall and will be moving down the length of the state all in one day.

The load will move along this designated route: Highway 25 in Iuka to Highway 72, Highway 45, Highway 45A, back to Highway 45, Interstate 20, Interstate 59, Highway 84, Interstate 55, Highway 584, Highway 51 into Louisiana.
