VICKSBURG, Miss.- Police have charged a woman in the shooting death of her husband.
Police responded to 610 Smedes Street on Monday around 10 p.m.to find 61-year-old Alfred “Stan” Harris dead from a gunshot wound to the back of the head.
Police were alerted by his wife, Becky Gail Harris, 45, who flagged the officers down and told them a shooting had happened inside her home.
After an investigation and autopsy report, police have now charged Becky Harris with first degree murder of her husband. She is set to appear in the Vicksburg Municipal Court on Thursday.
