Wife sentenced for knowing husband was committing crime

GULFPORT, Miss.- A woman has been sentenced after not reporting her husbands drug-trafficking trade. 

Regina Cooper, 44, the wife of an Army National Guard member and former Marine received five years probation with eight months to be served on house arrest. She plead guilty to misprison of felony and is also required to pay a $2,500 fine.

David Cooper, her husband, plead guilty to possession with intent to distribute Xanax, his sentencing will be set for later this month.

The couple was arrested on federal charges of conspiring to distribute meth, ecstasy, alparazolam and synthetic narcotics between 2012 and 2014, reports WLBT.
