Wreck in DeSoto County Kills Four People, Two Others Seriously Hurt

DeSOTO COUNTY, Miss.–A wreck on Hwy. 61 in DeSoto County killed four people Saturday night. Two others were seriously hurt and were taken to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis. It looks like a car headed north toward Memphis somehow crossed into the south bound lanes and hit a truck head on about 8:15.

Witnesses told WMC-TV in Memphis that they saw at least one of the vehicles on fire when they passed the scene.

Easter Hutchins of Whiteville, Tenn, Quincy Robertson and Tenice Robertson of Nashville, Tenn., and Rene Ferro were ID’d as the ones killed Sunday by Coroner Jeff Pounders.

The Miss. Highway PAtrol is still investigating.
