Zika could effect memory loss in adults

JACKSON, Miss.- A recent study done at The Rockefeller University said that Zika Virus could be linked to memory loss.

Researchers tested the virus on mice and the rodents were injected with Zika Virus and fluorescent lights were used to study the areas of the brain that were impacted.

As the study progressed, they compared the areas affected in the mouse brain to that of a human and determined that it could be the cause of memory loss.

While there is no direct link to the virus and human memory loss, the researchers found it likely that those symptoms were not unheard of.

Up until now the main concern of Zika was in infected woman who were pregnant as it can cause serious birth defects.
