5 Mississippi students accused of gang rape

Five students of West Lauderdale High School have been accused of gang raping a juvenile.

The crime is to have occurred off-campus over a March weekend. School administrators were the first to hear about the incident and then notified Lauderdale County authorities.

No names, ages, or genders are being released due to all those involved being under the age of 18.

Some of the students were arrested at home, the others at school.

According to school code, even though the crime occurred off-campus the students involved could still be suspended.

All five students cases will be handled in Lauderdale County Youth Court.
