JACKSON, MISS— Recent surveys from Mason-Dixon Polling and Research company shows Governor Phil Bryant with a seventy-two percent approval rating and a firm lead on Democratic opponents. Overall, Governor Bryant has established a hefty lead over Vickie Slater and Valerie Short, ahead by sixty-one percent and sixty-three percent, respectively.

Mason-Dixon Polling determined the results from a telephone survey, where 625 registered Mississippi voters were asked about their choices for the next gubernatorial election. Of those surveyed, 212 claim to be democrats, 298 say they’re republican, and 115 claim independent or another party affiliation.
