JACKSON, Miss. – A new drug has the DEA on high alert.
You know about heroin, you may know about Fentanyl, but you probably don’t know about the drug W-18.
It’s being produced in China and law enforcement say it may be the most dangerous recreational drug ever created, up to 500 times more powerful than pure heroin.
Investigators say abusers are mixing it with other types of drugs like cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana.
Health officials are worried because the drug that is used as an antidote to opioid overdoses doesn’t work on W-18.
