As Irma winds down into a tropical depression, her effects are being felt across the Magnolia State.

Throughout the northern half of the state today, rain and heavy clouds will keep temperatures from rising beyond the mid 60s in many places.

The National Weather Service is expecting plenty of rain across north Mississippi, but does not anticipate any flooding.

Across the central part of the state, rain will mark the majority of your Tuesday. Expect highs to barely reach the lower 70s.

South of I-20, however, you’re feeling mild and comfortable temperatures in the mid 70s and lower 80s with plenty of sunshine.
