A big day for MSU football tomorrow.

It’s Bulldogs vs Bulldogs: The Sequel as Mississippi State rumbles into Athens to take on Georgia between the hedges Saturday. Coming off a piping-hot start to the 2017 season (and a 30-point win over LSU that almost brought the house down in Starkville last weekend), head coach Dan Mullen will likely maintain his squad’s pace against a Georgia team that maintains offensive and defensive schemes that are strikingly similar to those of LSU.

The Ole Miss Rebels, nursing injuries after a stagnant road display in California last week, are taking a BYE ahead of their first conference game against Alabama. According to head coach Matt Luke, the rebels’ top receiver A.J. Brown is still recovering from a knee injury that could also keep him from playing next week.

The Southern miss Golden Eagles, too, have an off week: coming off a win at Louisiana Monroe last week, USM prepares for the north Texas Mean Green.
