JACKSON, Miss. – Police need your help finding a missing 17-year-old who is believed to have been shot.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert Sunday night for 17-year-old Katelyn Beard. She is a white female, with long brown hair and brown eyes. Beard is 5’4” and weighs 140 pounds.
The teenager was last seen in Jackson with Dewayne Thompson, the man police think shot and kidnapped her early Sunday morning. He is a black man with black hair and brown eyes. Thompson is 5’9” and 135 pounds.
The two may be traveling in a light gray or silver 2009 Nissan Altima with Greene County license plate number GRF 293.
