Brave Struggle to Survive, Ends in Death for Mississippi Football Player

LINCOLN COUNTY, Miss. – The Loyd Star High School football player who passed out on the sidelines of last week’s game has died.

Head Football Coach Adam Cook confirmed that Peyton Flowers, 18, died Thursday afternoon around 1:42 p.m.

Flowers had been in a medically induced coma at a Jackson hospital.  Doctors had been treating him for a subdural hematoma, or bleeding on the brain.
