MADISON COUNTY- Monday night the Madison Police responded to an accident near the 108 mile marker on I-55.
Officers found a 2017 Ford F-150 truck that had crashed into the woods on the northbound side of the interstate.
The truck was originally traveling southbound on Interstate 55 then it crossed the median and into the northbound lanes until finally hitting a tree.
When medical personnel arrived they found one person at the scene, 71 year old Arnold Douglas Dyre. He was taken to UMMC for treatment was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
