Drowning in May Was No Accident, Meridian Mother Arrested in Death of Four-Year-Old Son

MERIDIAN, Miss.–The drowning of a four-year-old little boy in May at Western Gardens in Meridian was not an accident, say police. They have arrested the child’s mother, Keanna Denise King, of Meridian.

King has been charged with capital murder, reported WTOK.

Det. Dareall Thompson told the TV station that King was arrested Tuesday evening and that she confessed to drowning her son. The charge: capital murder.

She was also charged with child abuse.

Thompson credited information from the public as a big help in making the arrest. King is being held with no bail and her case goes to the grand jury.
