Some of the First Babies Born in Mississippi in 2015

JACKSON, Miss.–Mississippi’s capital city beat everybody to the punch with the first baby born in the state. That was just after midnight on New Year’s Day. Here are some other first babies. If you’d like to add to the list, Tweet the baby’s name, hospital and weight to @News_MS.

In Meridian Kyrie Aamir Williams born at 5:23 this morning at Anderson Regional Medical Center 6 lbs, 14 oz.

In Starkville Leslee Copeland born about 9:53 a.m. 7 lbs. 8 oz.

In Tupelo it was Caleb Buckwalter, 2:49 a.m., 7 lbs. 13 oz.

Fred Earl Kency III was born at 12:31 a.m. on Jan. 1 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He weighs 5 pounds and 12 ounces, and is 18 1/2 inches.

Hattiesburg at Forrest General Braylen Eric Nixon weighed 5 pounds, 13 ounces. He was born at 4:18 a.m.
