Here’s whats going on across the state this weekend.
Grab the kiddos and head to Mayes Lake at LeFleur’s Bluff in Jackson. They’ve got a Youth Fishing Rodeo going on this weekend. It’s for anyone 15 and younger. All you need is fishing gear, catfish bait, stringers and a little bit of patience. It’s a great chance for the youngsters to work on their fishing skills.
Are you a painter? Maybe you want to improve your skills and learn how to paint what you see in a more abstract way? Well the Walter Anderson Museum of Art is hosting an event with mixed media artist Dana Finimore to teach you how to do just that. You do have to register for the classes so don’t waste anymore time just contact the museum.
And if you’re in Tupelo– you’ve seen the lights, smelled the fried candy bars and cotton candy. The Tupelo Summerfest Fair is happening now through the weekend. Grab a group and have some fun on the classic fair rides and enjoy a funnel cake or maybe two.
