How to help tornado recovery in Hattiesburg

The weather tragedy in Hattiesburg is already sparking Mississippi’s tradition of ‘neighbors helping neighbors’. There are many items you can contribute. From Gatorade and hygiene products, to blankets and phone chargers and numerous other essentials.

The American Red Cross of Mississippi has created a support circle through churches in Hattiesburg to make sure everyone affected by the tornado on Jan. 21st is served. The following churches have agreed to be points of collection and points of distribution for donated goods in the community:

In addition, volunteers and volunteer groups alike should coordinate all activities through the two

Volunteer Response Centers (VRC) so that response is most efficient. The following VRCs are open:
