HPD collect pounds of drugs as part of National Drug Take Back Initiative

The Hattiesburg Police Department said their partnership in the National Drug Take Back Initiative. 

HPD said that residents brought out around 115 pounds of unwanted, expired, and unused pharmaceutical drugs on Saturday.

The initiative comes after President trump declared a “public health emergency” when it comes to the opioid crisis. This initiative is aimed at getting excess pharmaceutical drugs from the streets.

HPD extends great gratitude to those that made a difference in their community by keeping drugs out of the hands of the youth and out our environment.
