Hypothermia Kills Mississippi Man

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Miss. – A Lauderdale County man has died after being found inside his home with no heat.

The county’s coroner said Nathaniel Brown, 50, died from the extreme cold.  He was found alive Thursday evening. At the time, Coroner Clayton Cobler said Brown’s core temperature was below 80 degrees and continued to drop.  He was pronounced dead a short time later.  Brown’s death is the first cold weather-related death in the county this year.
