HINDS COUNTY, Miss. – On her Facebook page, a Hinds County detention officer referred to an inmate as a “father figure” to her kids. Now Melony Conwright is jobless and facing charges of having sex with the prisoner. Her ex-husband reported the possible relationship and the Facebook post.
Investigators talked with inmate Keenan O’Neal and say he admits to the relationship. According to him, while he was on a weekend pass in May, Conwright picked him up at his sister’s apartment and the two went to a hotel where they had sex.
Conwright had worked for the Sheriff’s Department for nearly a year.
