Keeping Your Kids Safe: Substitute Pleads Guilty to Enticement

MOOREVILLE< Miss.–Trying to have inappropriate contact with a student gets a former substitute teacher in enough hot water to send him to prison. Matthew Blake Whitt of Mooreville, pleaded guilty this week in federal court.

Whitt, 24, not only lost his job, but will likely do time in the federal lock-up. He is free right now on a $15,000 bond while he waits to be sentenced.

Whitt was a sub in the Lee County School District when it happened. Evidence in court in cluded electronic devices and text messages.
