Man charged for leaving child in car during police pursuit

JACKSON, Miss.- A man on the run from police has been charged with child endangerment after he left a 2-year-old in a running vehicle on Lakeland Drive as he continued on foot. 

33-year-old, Marcus Baldridge ran from police after he dodged a traffic stop. He lead them to Lakeland Drive where he abandoned the car and kept running.

He left his 2-year-old cousin in the car.

When police caught up to him he was arrested and charged with possession of meth, and marijuana, violation of a traffic stop, and possible child endangerment.

His bond has been set for $200,000.
