Meth-Making Is Still Happening in Mississippi: Husband and Wife Arrested

NETTLETON, Miss.–Making pseudoephedrine prescription-only may have seriously wounded meth-making operations in the state, but it didn’t completely kill it. A husband and wife team was arrested after deputies discovered a lab Saturday night.

It happened in Nattelton, in Monroe County, and Sheriff Cecil Cantrell told media he would release names Monday. But, TV station WCBI said the two are Gary and Carolyn Stafford and that the sheriff’s department has been working on the case for about a month.

The sheriff said the lab was inside the couple’s home and that they’ve been in trouble for the same thing before.

This time around they’re charged with possession of precursors, manufacturing meth, and manufacturing meth to sell.
